Freeride World Tour: Watch the Courmayeur Highlights

Rookie Loic Collomb-Patton of France took first, followed by Kirkwood's Josh Daiek

Despite challenging visibility that stopped the Freeride World Tour midway through the competition’s first attempt last Friday, the first stop of the Swatch Freeride World Tour by the North Face concluded yesterday. In the men’s skiing competition, FWT rookie rider Loïc Collomb-Patton of France managed the win with a high score of 88.50. Collomb-Patton’s run consisted of an incredible high speed double right at the top of the venue and a huge 360 at the bottom. Running early in the start order, Collomb-Patton anxiously watched the remaining skiers who aimed to steal his lead.

Following Collomb-Patton closely with a score of 87.5 was Josh Daiek of the United States. Daiek’s dynamic and fully charged run proved speculations that he is seriously pursing to regain a championship title this season. In third place with a score of 82.25 was Jérémie Heitz of Switzerland. There was little sign that Heitz is returning to the tour after injuries last season as he charged into the venue with a triple air right out of the start gate.

loic collomb patton crushed it again today at chamonix. had to wait at the top until everyone came down and then put down a really sick run and stomped the crap out of a huge 3. he is looking like his good buddy candide did when he was on the FWT
