Reflections On A January To Remember In Tahoe

I don’t know much about MJOs, cut-off lows, El-Nino jets, positive PNAs or negative NAOs. I watch good ol’ Mark Finan on Channel 3 for the weather each morning and read the avalanche forecast and Dweeb report during storm cycles.
I can’t tell you the percentage of water the Truckee/Tahoe region received in January, nor can I calculate how close to average we are or aren’t.
But I do know one thing. It snowed in January in Tahoe like it hasn’t snowed in years. And here are the pictures to prove it.
