RESORT DESCRIPTION:
Located 78 miles east of Seattle atop the crest of Washington’s Cascade Range, Stevens Pass is a Northwest skier’s backyard playground. Reaping the benefits of a natural convergence, cool air often drifts from the east through the Stevens Pass area colliding with maritime Pacific storms, resulting in over 450 inches of relatively dry annual snowfall. Operating on 100-percent Northwest-generated wind power, a top-shelf terrain park, an open boundary, and 1,125 acres covering three sides of Cowboy Ridge and Big Chief Mountain, Stevens’ variety of terrain features and aspects has made it a local favorite for over 70 years.

Once a “Little Area That Rocks,” Stevens Pass has been making a big splash on the big screen lately by hosting several of the nation’s top film companies in their park. But while the park is suddenly getting all the attention, it’s the steeps and powder that originally built Stevens’ reputation.
