Access the Hanging Wall from the mountain’s high traverse for pillowy drops
and narrow steeps on runs such as AMF and Gowdy’s. The Cirque offers surreal
skiing in a treeless, tundra-like and moderately steep bowl, and the
evergreens off of Big Burn dole out dreamy and creamy turns with terrain
that holds powder long after everywhere else is tracked. Make sure to save
some energy though, because Snowmass is one of those mountains that can’t be
discovered in one day.
