Snowbird
Lap the tram to get some serious ver-specifically 3,240 feet-and and access the best runs at the ‘Bird by hitting the Cirque Traverse to find plenty of lingering pow stashes. After the lines are tracked out, hike 10minute to the top of North Baldy, arguably some of the best inbounds terrain in the country. On those days where the tram line is just too long, ride up the Gad-2 lift to duck into the trees of Thunder Bowl or head over to Mineral Basin to Chamonix Chutes and Bookends. At the end of the day, grab one of the best sandwiches you’ll ever eat from the General Store and aprè on the tram deck.
What’s New:
The Tram Club underwent an extensive renovation this summer, getting rid of that old “disco” vibe to bring in a more modern, après ski feel. The Tram Club will not have an outside bar, flat screen TVs and projection screens.
Inside Line:
Check out the Altabird pass, $84, to explore the lines between the ‘Bird and Alta. Why ski one mountain when you can ski two?
