Powder magazine was founded in Sun Valley in 1972 by the Moe brothers. Home to starlets and ski stars and Ernest Hemingway, the bowls of Sun Valley are the ticket to paradise in Sun Valley. Resort Overview

A new Snow Park Technologies terrain park on Dollar Mountain and updated Superpipe complement the steep, world-class terrain on Bald Mountain that put Sun Valley on the map. Get here via daily direct flights from Seattle, L.A., and Salt Lake City as well as daily bus shuttles from Boise. Terrain Breakdown

Dollar Mountain is the perfect grade for all things terrain park as well as being full of mellow, perfectly groomed slopes. Next door, Bald Mountain-or Baldy to the locals-is where Sun Valley's reputation among expert skiers was truly cemented. Overall the terrain breakdown across both mountains is: 22-percent advanced/expert; 42-percent intermediate; 36-percent beginner.
