Powder Perspective

With only one double stack of lift towers between the bottom terminal and top terminal of the lift, it's fair to proclaim the terrain that 7th Heaven accesses as steep. At the top, you can ski chutes underneath the lift, traverse out to shorter yet steep tree skiing, play around on multiple cliffbands, or make the short hike to 5,845-foot Cowboy Mountain and Cowboy Ridge. There, a myriad of fluted chutes will take you down into Rock Garden and Little Tree, or you can ski off the back into the backcountry down 2,000-foot Tunnel Ravine to Highway 2. The entire 7th Heaven zone is pure Cascadia skiing, with icicle-stacked cliffs and massive evergreen trees that protect the 450 inches of annual snowfall from wind. Resort Overview

Located 78 miles east of Seattle on the crest of the Cascade Range, Stevens Pass is a Washington day-use playground. Averaging 450 inches of snowfall a year makes Stevens Pass a powder Mecca. Offering plenty of inbound steeps, cliffs and chutes along with easily accessible backcountry, Stevens allows for some serious variety of terrain. Stevens offers everything from Northwest old-growth tree skiing to terrain park features that will make the most confident riders quiver.

Knowing that the mountain environment is a resort's number one asset, Stevens Pass is also committed to environmental sustainability. Setting a precedent in the Northwest, the resort runs off 100-percent wind power and offsets all climate-polluting emissions.

Taking advantage of the beautiful Northwest summers, Stevens Pass recently built a downhill mountain bike park in partnership with Gravity Logic. Depending on snow melt, mountain bikers can now hit Stevens Pass from July through October. No passport required.

Terrain Breakdown

The Top Phlight Terrain Park includes 30 acres of frequently manicured jumps, hips, rails and boxes for all abilities. In 2009 the Top Phlight Terrain Park won the NSAA's Best Terrain Park Safety Program Award.
