After winning the award for Best Female Performance in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009, Ingrid Backstrom saw the award go to Lynsey Dyer in 2010 and Grete Eliassen in 2011. Well, Backstrom is back. After overcoming a torn Achilles in 2010, the 31 year old had two segments in Attack of La Nina that showcased her smooth style and her proficiency in the air, amid big mountain faces. On Mount Meager, Backstrom stomps 20 footers and charges huge lines. In another All.I.Can. segment in Greenland, Backstrom fluidly skis steep and narrow couloirs.
