Red Bull Launches New TV Show

SANTA MONICA, CA - "Re: Evolution of Sports," a one-hour program profiling the progression and evolution of sports in the 21st century, will make its national debut on Saturday, July 6 at 2PM EST/PST on The National Network (TNN). The weekly program will showcase the plethora of action sports with Red Bull athletes and events as its centerpiece. Content will be dedicated to an array of emerging sports from big mountain skiing to kitesurfing to street luge.

In all, 13 shows will air on TNN twice between July and January, with repeats each following Friday night at 2AM. TNN (formerly the Nashville Network) joined the MTV Networks family in September 2000 and has brought a new young adult audience to its schedule filled with sports, music and lifestyle programming. Appearing in more than 85 million U.S. homes, The New TNN is a top young adult entertainment network and is currently America's fastest growing entertainment network among all basic cable.

Each episode of "Re: Evolution of Sports" will be themed with a unique subject. The July 6 premiere will focus on "Flight", with footage from the Baffin Island B.A.S.E. Jumping Adventure, Vertigo and Wings Over Aspen paragliding aerobatic competition. Subsequent themes will include "Water", "Momentum", "Surf" and more. In addition, individual athletes will be profiled in each episode.

The show is best described by its narrator, legendary extreme sports film maker Scott Gaffney: "Regarding the evolution of sports... A constantly revolving world of progression, expression and succession...No longer is it just football, baseball and basketball...No longer is it just surf, skate and snow...The evolution of Sport knows no limits...."
