
Snowbird, Utah - Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort is kicking off spring with the
first annual InSpring Fling, April 19-20 and 26-27. The festival will bring
live music, DJs, exhibitions by top skiers and riders, contests, lift ticket
deals, barbecues and giveaways to the resort for what promises to be two
exciting weekends in the sun.
The thrills begin Saturday, April 19, in Gad Valley at 10 a.m. Rail and
half-pipe demonstrations, contests, giveaways and a DJ will provide
entertainment throughout the day, while a barbecue will provide the food.
There will also be live music on the Snowbird Center Plaza Deck from 3-5
p.m.
Events get an early start Sunday, April 20, with a free 6:45 a.m. Easter
Sunrise Service featuring Pastor Ron Williams and a Presbyterian Youth Choir
performing on Hidden Peak. Easter festivities continue at 9 a.m. with the
annual free children's Easter Egg Hunt on the Chickadee Run and an adult
Easter Egg Hunt on the mountain that will last until all eggs are found.
Soak in the sun on the Plaza Deck beginning with a barbecue at 11:30 a.m.
and enjoy live music from 1-5 p.m.
As part of the festival, skiers and snowboarders with a current season pass
from another resort will be eligible for half-price lift tickets at Snowbird
April 21 through May 4. The entertainment on the Plaza Deck continues the
following Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27. There will be a barbecue from
11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and live music from 1-5 p.m. both days. In lieu of an
Easter Egg Hunt there will be an on-mountain scavenger hunt with great
prizes Saturday, April 26.
Snowbird offers the longest ski and snowboard season in Utah and plans to
stay open through May 4, conditions permitting. Lift ticket price, hours and
lifts will be reduced throughout May.
