Jackson Hole Opens Saturday

December 4, 2002

Jackson Hole, Wyoming -- With over 80 inches of natural snowfall on top of a dense machine made base on Apres Vous Mountain, opening day at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will offer some great early season conditions.

The Resort will open Apres Vous (2170 vertical feet) as well as the intermediate terrain off Casper Lift in Mid Mountain (2200 vertical feet). Together these areas offer 30% of the mountain terrain. Casper has early season ski conditions and will continue to improve with more natural snow. These lifts will be followed with the opening of the Bridger Gondola (2784 vertical feet) assuming Jackson continues to receive cold temperatures mixed with natural snowfall.

In a new move this winter JHMR has decided to offer a $40 day ticket until December 20, 2002. This price will be fixed irrelevant of which lifts are open, so if conditions continue to improve as they have pre-season, it will prove to be a great deal.

Opening Day at JHMR will be celebrated with the grand opening of the completely new Bridger Center. All skiers and riders are invited to the party between 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. where there will be free beer, DJ King Weep and a huge raffle offering an all mountain pass and loads of cool gear. There will be a pre-party blow out sale from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. where merchandise in all three stores within the Bridger Center, Jackson Hole Sports, Hole in the Wall and the New Street Fashion Store (name to be announced at party) will be 25% off.
