STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO -- The sound of music will once again echo throughout the Yampa Valley this July as The String Cheese Incident headlines the Independence Incident Music Festival at the Steamboat Ski Area's Tennis Meadows, July 3 & 4, 2002. Joining The String Cheese Incident during the festival will be the incredible sounds of Earl Scruggs with Family and Friends, Yonder Mountain String Band, Corey Harris, and James Brown, The Godfather of Soul.

The String Cheese Incident, who will headline both days during the two-day Independence Incident Music Festival, will be joined by Earl Scruggs with Family and Friends and Yonder Mountain String Band on Wednesday, July 3, 2002, as well as James Brown and Corey Harris on Independence Day, Thursday, July 4th. All the bands will perform at Tennis Meadows at the Steamboat Ski Area. Gates to the outdoor venue open at 12:30pm each day with music starting at 2:00pm and running through approximately 10:00pm.
