With daytime temperatures hitting the 60s and no snow in the forecast, winter may seem far off for Salt Lake City residents. On Saturday Nov. 3, thousands from this snow-crazed metropolis gathered in the Gallivan Center in downtown SLC to try to change that.
The Powder crew decided to drive to San Francisco in Joaquin (Powder cop car) last weekend for the third edition of the annual Icer Big Air event. Here is a gallery of images from the event. Read about this event HERE.

It looks like full-on winter out there - the snow guns have been fired up, cats have started their engines and patrol has started to get the mountain ready. The unofficial word (from patrol "getting the mountain ready") was that Great Scott skied quite nicely with three feet of fresh. It'll be even better after the storms that are supposed to roll through this weekend.
