We’re in Haines, Alaska, America, and this is my Powder blog for April 18th, 2009. The TGR crew has been in Haines since mid-March. I have been here since April 4th. Coming in right after a few days of overhead pow and blue skies, the crew was in high spirits and stoked. Now I am on my 16th day. During these two weeks, we have only shot a few runs and it has snowed an approximate 15 feet in the mountains. With bad weather and a little bad luck not much has happened. But in Alaska, it’s worth every minute of wondering when the sun is going to come. Haines has become a mecca of the ski world. Its varied and stacked terrain can keep any kind of skier excited about the next turn….so we wait and ski.
