RETALLACK ROWDINESS: The Cat Track Session Continues
It was a productive couple days in Retallack Lodge for Tanner, Sammy, Sean and Callum. Tuesday the team found a clear cut area just off the cat track and sessioned pillow lines and creek drops for the better part of the day. The footage won't disappoint. Yesterday, they settled in the terrain
littered amphitheatre of Super Bowl. Every angle was captured as the guys
lapped lines and kept stepping it up every time. Sammy had a close call with a cornice breaking off and sending him into a tree. Luckily everyone finished the day stoked and healthy and ready to wrap things up for today's final day.

STORM CENTRAL: Snow continues to fall on Utah
Utah’s amazing storm cycle continued with two storms hitting back-to-back last week, and more expected to be on the way. Several days of snow pushed
Solitude to 218 inches on the year and a 90 inch base.
Alta, meanwhile, is at 285 inches for the season, and already broke a 100-inch base, and Snowbird is showing similar numbers with 236 inches this season and a 95-inch base. The northern mountains have not been left out of the fun.
Snowbasin is reporting 33 inches from this last cycle, and 219 inches on the season. Powder Mountain has 192 inches on the season and is reporting a 112 inch base.
I made it up to Solitude on January 9, where I ran into resort poster girl Caroline Gleich escape the rat race in the canyon next door. Seems we weren’t the only ones with that plan, as we also crossed tracks with Powder photographers Lee Cohen and Eric Seo. Aside from that, though, there were a lot of empty chairs and fresh lines.—Derek Taylor
SILVERTON DUMP: Re Wikstrom Reports From The San Juans
When Holly Walker plans a trip and tells you to meet her somewhere, it's usually a good idea. In this case, it was the big mountain mecca of Silverton, CO which is reporting its best snow year since opening. As the days drew near, the forecast was calling for yet more snow and by day three on the mountain the nuking had hit ludicrous speed. At day's end, Red Mtn pass was already closed as Molas and Colbank shut down next. In an ironic twist for those people stuck in the town of Silverton, the road to the mountain was blocked off Sunday morning due to a massive slide. The greater North American ski community is now buzzing with plans to hit Silverton when it reopens this Thursday. I hear it's STILL dumping out there. Get some! -Re Wikstrom
RETALLACK: Powder, Pillows, and Popcorn Photo Gallery
We skied the deepest and lightest snow in the steepest of trees courtesy of Retallack Alpine Adventures. Located in the Kootenay region of interior B.C. about an hour and a half northeast of Nelson, Retallack's playground and tenure sits on the Kokanee range of the massive Canadian Selkirk mountains. SLEIGH SILVERTON: San Juans Still Skiing Deep Photos
It's late December at Silverton Mountain and skiing like March in a good year. Silverton got hammered by 100 inches of snow over an eight-day period in early December, with 48 inches falling over the first 24 hours, and the impact of that wet, heavy early-season storm is evident.
FAT FLAKE FESTIVAL PHOTOS: Ski Utah hosts kick-off party
With daytime temperatures hitting the 60s and no snow in the forecast, winter may seem far off for Salt Lake City residents. On Saturday Nov. 3, thousands from this snow-crazed metropolis gathered in the Gallivan Center in downtown SLC to try to change that.
