Mt. Bachelor to re-open for skiing July 2-4

From Mt. Bachelor — Bend, Ore. (June 16, 2011) — Mt. Bachelor has announced that it will open for skiing and snowboarding Saturday, July 2 through Monday, July 4, with intermediate and advanced skiing from the summit, snow and weather conditions permitting. Regular summer operations will begin as planned on Friday, July 1.

After a record-breaking snowfall season of 665”, upper elevations retain a deep snowpack. Skiing and snowboarding will be available from the Summit Express chair, accessible via Pine Marten Express out of the
West Village base area, providing the highest lift-served spring skiing in the Cascades.

Mt. Bachelor will be open for skiing from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., with lift tickets priced at $30 for all ages. A
reduced-rate $20 lift ticket will be offered to all 2010/11 full and midweek season pass holders, 12-day pass
holders and club card members.

The first 250 skiers and snowboarders purchasing tickets each day will receive a commemorative t-shirt
celebrating skiing and snowboarding over the July 4th holiday. Skiers and sightseers alike will enjoy mid-day
live music at the Pine Marten lodge on Saturday and Sunday.

Summer Operations
Beginning Friday, July 1, Mt. Bachelor will open its summer season activities and services including scenic
chairlift rides, lunch daily at Scapolo’s Restaurant and the popular Sunset Dinners every Friday through
Sunday evening at the Pine Marten Lodge. Dinner reservations are recommended.

Frisbee golf and summer dog sledding will open as soon as conditions allow.

Mt. Bachelor summer services are available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 11 a.m. to
8 p.m. Friday-Sunday for Sunset Dinners. All standard summer activities will be available in conjunction
with the ski and snowboard operations during the July 4th holiday weekend.
