Winter Dew(d) Tour Heads to Killington for Stop No. 2

THE WINTER DEW TOUR HEADS TO VERMONT’S KILLINGTON RESORT FOR THE SECOND STOP OF THE SEASON, JANUARY 20-23, 2011

World’s Best Snowboard and Freeski Athletes to Descend Upon Killington Resort, Including Olympians Louie Vito and Kelly Clark and New England’s Simon Dumont

From the Winter Dew Tour — Burr Ridge, Ill. (Jan. 18, 2011) – Over 140 of the best freeski and snowboard athletes will compete this weekend at Killington Resort on the second stop of the 2010-11 Winter Dew Tour season. Welcoming the Tour for the first time, Killington Resort will host the four-day event that features competitions with the top winter action sports athletes in freeskiing (slopestyle and superpipe) and snowboarding (slopestyle and superpipe). The three-stop Tour will conclude with the Toyota Championships at Snowbasin Resort in Ogden, Utah, Feb. 10-13.

The star-studded field of athletes competing in this weekend’s Winter Dew Tour at Killington includes reigning Dew Cup champions, Olympians and rising stars. Among them are:

Simon Dumont (SKI pipe/ slope): Winter X Games 2009 gold medalist and 1st place freeski superpipe finisher at the Nike 6.0 Open in Breckenridge
Jossi Wells (SKI pipe/ slope): Winter X Games 2010 silver medalist and 2009-10 defending Freeski Superpipe Dew Cup Champion
Bobby Brown (SKI slope): Winter X Games 2010 gold medalist and 2nd place freeski slopestyle finisher at the Nike 6.0 Open in Breckenridge

Winter Dew Tour
The Winter Dew Tour consists of three major, multi-sport events spanning across the country, with a cumulative points system, and a $1.5 million competitive purse. Each event features snowboard (superpipe and slopestyle) and freeskiing (superpipe and slopestyle). At season’s end, the overall point’s leaders are crowned year-end champions and awarded the prestigious Dew Cup.
