Ski Utah Counts Down to Winter this Saturday, August 7, 2010
A Benefit for Wasatch Backcountry Rescue Dogs at the Salt Lake City Farmer’s Market
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – Ski Utah will kickoff the official 100 day countdown to the ski season this Saturday, August 7, 2010, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Downtown Farmer?s Market. Ski Utah will take one dollar donations in exchange for flavorful yellow snow cones provided by Snowie to benefit Wasatch Backcountry Rescue avalanche dogs. Dogs will also be on hand to perform skills demonstrations and Utah ski resorts will hand out doggy bags full of swag and resort information.

Dogs will conduct skill demonstrations on the half-hour between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. MDT
Where: Salt Lake City Downtown Farmer’s Market Historic Pioneer Park (300 South & 300 West)
When: Saturday, August 7, 2010, 10 a.m.- 1p.m. MDT
Ski Utah also reminds snow enthusiasts that now is the time to secure the best prices available for season passes and other preseason ticket packages. Families are also encouraged to apply for the Ski Utah Fifth and Sixth Grade Passports, the best way for fifth and sixth grade students to enjoy The Greatest Snow on Earth(r). Through the program, fifth graders can ski or snowboard 39 times for $25 and sixth graders can enjoy 13 days on the slopes for $20.
