Silverton

Powdermag.com never looked so good.

Day two dawns with a couple more inches of snow, just enough to freshen everything up real nice. Since we all had such a good time at dinner the night before, today we decide to ski with Jessica and Jamie. We ended up on top of a cornice that had a landing to good to pass up. Being the true gentlemen (dummies) we are, we let the ladies session the landing zone a couple of times before we leave our bombholes. Jamie and Jessica let loose with an impressive array of flips, grabs, and solid jumping, while we were reminded our 360Â’s and frontflips don't count unless they are stomped. Either way, the energy was good and it was with great regret when we had to leave at the end of the day. We had just finished two days of lift accessed powder skiing. Our guides showed us every secret stash, nook, and cranny to this steep high alpine playground. Although we felt like VIP's, we were just another couple of satisfied Silverton Mountain customers. Get there this year, the snow is great, the terrain is top notch, and the experience is the type of raw skiing adventure we all yearn for.
