No Sleep for the Sherpas - The Fine Line is Almost Here

Check the revolution. The world premiere of the Rocky Mountain Sherpas’ 16mm avalanche education film will take place in Whistler on September 25th. After that, the Sherpas will be hauling The Fine Line across western Canada.

It’s hard to believe that the project is almost complete, but the final pieces of the puzzle are falling into place. Dave Mossop, Malcolm Sangster, Eric Crosland and a team of animators are sleeplessly slaving through the September nights to put the final touches on the groundbreaking feature.

Final touches include: Tanner Hall demolishing Alaskan spines, Sean Petit jibbing the BC Interior, industry experts explaining the art of safe backcountry shredding and stories from the survivors of near-death avalanches.

The movie’s message couldn’t come at a better time. With the first hint of winter hitting the peaks of Western Canada, riders will be getting after the goods in no time at all. And if the Sherpas get their point across, those riders will be investing a bit more thought into where they’re dropping their lines and when they’re doing it. So check the tour dates below for a town near you and come for a night of cinema, swag and stoke for the upcoming season. Quebec stops, high school tours and US stops by affiliates are in the making…
