Matt Reardon: Pro Skier Turned Rock Star

It’s common for pro skiers to have second jobs. It’s not common for that second job to be Rockstar. However, Matt Reardon, who’s been a fixture in the freeskiing scene since the 90’s is taking that exact approach. He’s been splitting his time between music and skiing ever since he contributed the title track for TGR’s “Further” in 2000.

After writing songs for other action sports films and self-releasing his own records, Reardon and his new band Black Sunshine have their major-label debut coming out on April 13. They’ve already been getting attention from rock radio, and they have a large-scale tour starting at the end of the month, supporting groups like Alice In Chains.

Reardon plays at Squaw Valley this weekend, and Black Sunshine will embark on their national tour starting March 25th.
