FWT Xtreme Verbier Finals Confirmed For Saturday

After a week of waiting, organizers have confirmed the Swatch Freeride World Tour by The North Face will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2014. On Verbier’s mighty Bec des Rosses north face, riders will fight for the world titles in freeride skiing and snowboarding. Thanks to the recent heavy snowfalls, the 34 participants and the spectators can look forward to great conditions at this concluding event of the FWT season. The competition will be broadcast live on the Internet on Powder.com at 9:00 AM CET.

The 20-year-old from Dillon, Colorado, made the leap this season from the junior tour to the adult tour, achieving the one goal most seasoned Freeride World Tour skiers aim for: to finish in the top 12 in order to earn a coveted spot in the Xtreme finals on Verbier’s legendary Bec de Rosses venue.

In honor of the 2014 Pain McShlonkey Classic, which is next weekend at Squaw Valley, the producers who brought you Weaker and Smaller are proud to present the third and final chapter, Shorter.

The fourth annual Pain McShlonkey Classic will see another group of snowbladers and snowlerboarders test themselves against the extremes in the Chinese Downhill and, new this year, Snow Blade Ballet at Squaw Valley on Saturday, March 29. Spectators are encouraged to cheer, dance, and heckle, and drink Jack Daniel at the afterparty that night.
