Field Productions presents “Supervention”
One of this year's biggest ski films is coming out of Europe
I never thought I’d see Terje Haakonsen and Tim Durtschi in the same movie. Leave it to the Field Productions minds to blow that misconception out of the water. Field has been quietly making loud movies for years now, dominating the European markets, while gently scratching the surface of those in the know in North America. When founder Filip Christensen announced Field would be making a two-year project instead of an annual, it made little to no headlines in the States.

Big Sky/Moonlight Fall Under One Umbrella

The Woman Who Stole Shane McConkey’s Heart
A heartfelt interview with Sherry McConkey talking about life and love with Shane
Red Bull Media House and Matchstick Productions continue to roll out interviews and behind the scenes footage as promo to the release of “McConkey” on Oct 5, 2013 in Squaw Valley, California. All of these videos just make me stop – press pause on life for a second – and appreciate the brilliance and light that Shane brought to everyone. Whether it was his wife Sherry (who is an executive producer on the film) or a fan who’d never met Shane in person, everyone felt it. No one should forget it. And we should all do our best to live it in honor of Shane.

El Colorado resort received nearly a foot of new snow within the few days leading up to the even making the conditions on Santa Terese face, the 2,500-vertical-foot venue in the Chilean Andes backcountry perfect for the competition.
Viva en Chile: Dawn Patrol
Getting it good
We awoke at 6:30 a.m., a surprising time considering the other night we went to bed at 5:30 a.m. A bucket of Piscola will do that to you. We dressed, making quick cups of tea, and checking the battery life of our beacons. We scrambled, but were out the door by 7 a.m. Powder skiing will do that that to you.
