For its first foray into skis, Palmer took a middle road with the PO1. Dubbed an “all-mountain freestyle” ski, the PO1 exhibits a unique mix of sidecut and flex patterns intended to aid edge grip. An early-rise tip, where the tip height increases as the ski is compressed, helps this ski handle powder surprisingly well considering its relatively small surface area. While this is a solid mountain player, it doesn’t necessarily excel anywhere. The PO1 LE is the same ski with limited edition graphics from L.A. artist Chase.
