H20 Heli Guides Host Powder-Specific Camp in Niseko, Japan

Valdez, Alaska—H2O Guides, headquartered in Valdez, Alaska is announcing another International option to add to their quiver of programs. Niseko, Japan has been selected as the location for a powder specific camp from January 9 – 17, 2009. 
Situated in Japan’s North Island of Hokkaido, Niseko offers one of the most unique skiing and cultural experiences in the world. Every winter Northwest to southeast Siberian fronts sweep across the Sea of Japan and deliver meters of powder to Niseko. In fact, Niseko is the world’s second snowiest ski resort, boasting an annual average snowfall of 595 inches. Powder is major element of local culture in Niseko.
Niseko is easy to access via a short flight from Tokyo and once are there you will feel a world apart from any Western ski area. Niseko comprises four interconnected resorts (Hirafu, Higashiyama, Annupuri and Hanazono) that together form 2,000 plus skiable acres accessed by 38 lifts and gondolas.
