When it comes to boots, the only criterion I go by is performance. That means I’m wearing race boots, and my race boot of choice is the Inferno 130. A manageably stiff flex ensures they can handle any amount of pressure, meaning the gas pedal knows no limit, and an aggressive forward lean puts you right in the cockpit. They also feature a snug 98mm last to keep your foot from moving around, increasing precision. They can be a bit unforgiving in bumps and crud, and they aren’t friendly to leg hair or toenails, but it’s a worthy tradeoff for the performance at high speeds.
