Skier’s Choice Draft Pick | Round 5, 12th Pick by Max Santeusanio
A boot needs to have two things: comfort and performance. In the past, the SPK Pro has leaned more toward the comfort end of the spectrum. This might have to do with the super padded tongue, heat-moldable liners, or maybe even the “wiggle room” that’s around the toes. New for 2011, Salomon has improved the performance of this boot by giving it a stiffer 110 flex. Salomon has also thrown in a bunch of bells and whistles, including a rubber toe pad to prevent toe-bang, a quick-lace liner, and the giant double durable metal buckles (my favorite feature). This boot is aimed at park skiers, but is perfect for anyone who wants a comfortable boot that can rip.
