Description: Pure, athlete-driven, big mountain ski designed by Cody Townsend and Kaj Zackrisson. Not for the faint of heart. “The El Dictator was built for one purpose in mind: to handle all off-piste conditions better than any other ski in the world. Coming from a background in competition, Kaj and I built this ski so that we could win competitions in any and all conditions. With two out of four wins this year on the Freeride World Tour, I’d say the El Dictator has proven itself to us. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a ski and the possibilities are endless.” – Cody Townsend
Skier’s Choice Draft Pick | Round 1, 13th Pick by Hans Ludwig
Cody Townsend made damn sure that he had a ski that was made for ripping, not just floating and bobbing about like a rubber dingy. Which is why this ski has a flat tail (so you can dump speed or rail out a turn), a little tip rocker, straightish shape, and in a proper size. I don’t need the widest, most-rockered ski to have fun in pow, but I do want a ski that goes full speed when the opportunity arises: There’s powder on big mountains, too.
