2011 Nordica Girish Skis

Description: The Girish had some work done in the off-season. Nordica took an amazing ski and made it better by adding an early rise rocker tip profile while preserving the traditional camber underfoot and in the tail. The new reverse camber at the tip improves agility and steering ability, making it easier to initiate turns while staying super stable and versatile. The true camber in the tail increases speed and allows you to lock in big landings without fear of rocker “squirt out.”

Skier’s Choice Draft Pick | Round 2, 8th Pick by Justin Broglio
The lion tone of the graphics says it all: The Girish is aggressive. With a wood core and two sheets of metal for dampening, this big stiffy is at home during long, fast GS turns down Rahlves run at Sugar Bowl, while the flat tail helps hold the edge. It also manages to impress in the powder in Sherwood Bowl thanks to the early rise and hard-to-find 193cm length for those of us a bit taller. Not likely an all-mountain choice if you’re under 6-foot-8 and check intermediate or below, but definitely fits the big guys on big days.
