Skier’s Choice Draft Pick | Round 5, 6th Pick by John Stifter
When’s the last time a boot felt good out of the box? We spend all this time and money on fancy liners, footbeds and punches, yet problems usually remain. Despite my skepticism, the Ace of Spades fit my foot and felt like a warm flannel blanket the first time I slid my giant Sideshow Bob feet inside. The unconventional three-buckle design gives a unique flex that I prefer over Dalbello’s Krypton Pro and Full Tilt, as it more closely resembles a four-buckle. To boot, this baby has legit Vibram soles for wear, tear and grip, and a gel-packed footboard, which enhances stompage and decreases compression. This is the boot of the year.
