fantasy draft pick by Max Santeusanio

Description: Featuring Liberty’s Fat Head technology (mini-rocker), the Double Helix excels in soft snow and big terrain. Liberty’s bamboo laminate core keeps things light and powerful while quadaxial fiberglass construction combined with a Durathane layer give the Double Helix torsional rigidity and dampness at speed. With the Double Helix, flotation and high-speed performance are finally available with virtually no weight penalty.

Skier’s Choice Draft Pick | Round 1, 12th Pick by Max Santeusanio
While this ski is kind of big for my home mountains, it’s perfect for a place like Jackson, where the terrain can vary from bottomless backcountry bowls to groomers to 40-foot bomb drops in the trees. I spent most of my time on this ski in the trees due to my lack of avy gear and training. By the end of the day, I was ecstatic: The Double Helix raged the trees and cliffs without effort. This ski’s swing weight, despite its girth, is also unbelievably light, thanks to Liberty’s bamboo core. Overall, this ski can hold its own in the air, will float powder like Fruit Loops in milk, but also maneuver effortlessly in and out of trees.
