I must have the full floater for the Zen powder forest, and something with a little rocker to help me slither through sacred groves of birch trees without interrupting the fall of a single snowflake. But I don’t want a ski that feels like a rocking horse; I need a proper-size board with minimal camber and just enough rocker to get my swivel on. A little sidecut will get me down the groomer to the hot springs where I will soak with snow monkeys and beautiful Austrian ex-ski racers, while the classic simplicity of a regular-ass vertical sidewall laminate construction won’t tweak my feng shui.
