Some friends have been helping Billy Poole's mom set up the Billy Poole Ski Foundation to help get underpriveleged/underserved kids get out on the slopes. We've also built a simple website, which is finally up and ready to
go: www.billypooleskifoundation.org.
People can go there and post stories/memories about Billy, and also find out more information about the Billy Poole Ski Foundation.
Billy's mom, Phyllis Erck, and family felt strongly about carrying on Billy's legacy with an effort that was close to his heart. Through grant-giving, the foundation will support programs offering opportunities for underprivileged people of all ages to learn to ski and enjoy outdoor adventures.
With support from Ski Utah, Warren Miller, Backcountry.com, Roxy and all of Billy's sponsors, The Billy Poole Ski Foundation is already taking on a life of its own.
